EKO was delighted to welcome a youth worker from Coordination CRH, our Belgian partner, to Athens, Greece in April 2025, as part of the short-term international exchange within the Erasmus+ KA2 ECHOES project. This exchange brought together youth workers from both the sending and hosting organizations to work together on youth-led climate action and civic engagement initiatives.
The goal of the exchange was to encourage cross-cultural collaboration and to equip youth workers with practical tools and approaches to more effectively involve young people in climate advocacy efforts. The participant from CRH had the opportunity to explore EKO’s climate-related work, discover new strategies for empowering youth in local action, and build connections with local organizations and stakeholders.
During the mobility, a field visit to ANIMA – Hellenic Wildlife Care Association (https://www.wild-anima.gr/en/) was carried out, where both the youth workers from CRH and EKO had the exclusive opportunity to learn about the main activities of the Association, in terms of the care and reintroduction of wild animals in their natural environment as well as to interact, under the guidance of the staff, with the wild animals hosted by ANIMA at that time. We would like to thank the people of ANIMA for their warm hospitality and for the knowledge they provided about wildlife!
A heartfelt thank you to our partner CRH for joining us in this meaningful exchange, and to CERA, the coordinating partner, for making this impactful experience possible!
