EKO is happy to announce that one more amazing youth exchange has been completed successfully. The project “Culture Craft: Threads of Tradition, Sparks of Creativity” united 50 participants from Poland, Portugal, Spain, Greece, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Lithuania, Turkiye, Latvia. It was organised by the Italian organisation Associazione TDM 2000, and took place in Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy from 16 to 23 December 2025.
Aims & Objectives of the project
This Youth Exchange brought together young people to explore the role of creativity, arts, and crafts in strengthening personal and key competences while fostering appreciation for European and local cultural heritage. The project aimed to promote intercultural dialogue, inclusion, and active participation by creating a shared space for cultural exchange and collaboration. Through creative methodologies and non-formal education, participants enhanced essential competences such as cultural awareness and expression, learning to learn, social and civic engagement, communication in foreign languages, and entrepreneurial thinking.
Workshops & Activities of the project
The project was based on interactive and participatory workshops focused on arts, creativity, and traditional crafts, combined with group projects, storytelling sessions, cultural evenings, and visits to local heritage sites. Through hands-on creative activities and collaborative work, participants explored different forms of artistic expression while exchanging cultural traditions and experiences. The workshops were designed to be experiential and inclusive, fostering teamwork, communication, and intercultural learning.
