The Kick-off Meeting of the KA2 Eco-Patrols project took place from 28 to 30 November 2025 in Athens, Greece, hosted by EKO, bringing together partner organisations from Croatia, North Macedonia, Romania, Greece and Spain.
The meeting marked the official launch of the project and focused on presenting its vision, objectives, timeline, and implementation strategy. Partners aligned on the project’s goal: enhancing non-formal environmental education by scaling up the Eco-Patrol (EP) method, integrating modern environmental concepts, and using digital tools to empower youth, youth workers, and organisations for a more sustainable future.
During the meeting, partners discussed the project structure and work packages, including:
● the scaling-up and adaptation of the Eco-Patrol method across different local contexts to boost youth engagement in environmental initiatives and civic activism;
● the integration of modern environmental topics and digital tools within a non-formal learning framework for youth and youth workers;
● capacity-building actions for partner organisations to ensure long-term impact and sustainability of the Eco-Patrol approach;
● the development of a strong European Eco-Patrols network of organisations committed to environmental awareness, active citizenship, and community-based action.
The Kick-off Meeting laid a strong foundation for collaboration and mutual trust among partners, setting the stage for the successful implementation of Eco-Patrols, a 24-month Erasmus+ project aimed at strengthening environmental literacy and sustainability through innovative, digital, and community-driven learning approaches.
