Announcement: The ECHOES Project Comes to an End!

After months of collaboration, learning, and international cooperation, the ECHOES project has officially come to an end, marking an important milestone in empowering young people and youth workers to actively engage in climate advocacy and environmental action across Europe.

Implemented under the Erasmus+ programme, ECHOES – “Youth Voices for Climate Action in European Elections” – brought together partners from Belgium, Greece, Türkiye, Portugal, Spain, Germany, and the Netherlands with the shared goal of strengthening youth participation in climate-related discussions and policymaking.

Throughout the project, partners worked together to equip young people and youth workers with valuable knowledge, skills, and tools related to climate awareness, advocacy, communication, leadership, and active citizenship. The project addressed important challenges such as climate misinformation, low youth participation in environmental initiatives, and the need for stronger youth representation in political and social dialogue regarding climate change.

During the implementation period, the consortium successfully organised international meetings, exchanges, co-creation activities, workshops, and awareness campaigns that promoted intercultural cooperation and encouraged young people to become active contributors to climate action within their communities.

Among the main achievements of the project were:
• the development of educational and advocacy resources for young people and youth workers,
• the promotion of international cooperation and intercultural dialogue,
• the inclusion and active participation of young people from diverse backgrounds,
• the strengthening of youth engagement in climate and environmental discussions,
• and the creation of policy-oriented recommendations and awareness materials to support long-term impact.

The ECHOES project leaves behind a strong network of organisations and young people committed to sustainability, active citizenship, and environmental responsibility. The partnership would like to thank all participants, facilitators, trainers, youth workers, and partner organisations who contributed to the successful implementation of the project and helped amplify youth voices for a greener and more sustainable future.

Together, we demonstrated that young people can play a key role in shaping climate action and building a more inclusive and sustainable Europe.
