EKO is happy to announce that one more amazing training course has been completed successfully. The project “ENTREPRENEURSHIP GOES GREEN” united participants from Croatia, Lithuania, Hungary, Spain, North Macedonia, Greece and Turkiye. It was organised by the Croatian organisation “Argonauta”, and took place in Sibenik, Croatia from 01 to 10 May 2026.
Aims & Objectives of the project
The project aimed to encourage entrepreneurial thinking among young people by strengthening their creativity, initiative and problem-solving skills through experiential learning, teamwork and real-life challenges. Through non-formal education methods, the youth exchange promoted innovation, active participation and personal development while encouraging young people to transform ideas into practical initiatives.
Specifically, the project sought to:
• Support participants in developing entrepreneurial competences and understanding how innovation and entrepreneurship can be explored through non-formal learning and practical experiences.
• Equip young people with basic project management skills and practical tools to help them turn ideas into concrete entrepreneurial actions and initiatives.
• Provide participants with hands-on exposure to an innovation-oriented environment through participation in a Hackathon, encouraging challenge-based learning, teamwork and creative problem solving under time pressure.
• Promote awareness of social responsibility and sustainability by encouraging participants to reflect on the social and environmental impact of entrepreneurial ideas and responsible economic activity.
• Strengthen intercultural dialogue, cooperation and peer learning by bringing together young people from diverse backgrounds to collaborate, exchange perspectives and develop ideas collectively.
Workshops & Activities of the project
The youth exchange was based on non-formal education methods and included interactive workshops, outdoor activities and experiential learning opportunities designed to strengthen participants’ entrepreneurial competences and foster creativity, collaboration and initiative.
Through group work, discussions, simulations and practical activities, participants explored entrepreneurship, innovation and project development while reflecting on how ideas can be transformed into meaningful initiatives with social and economic impact. Participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences, work collaboratively and develop problem-solving skills in an intercultural environment.
A key highlight of the programme was the participation in a Hackathon, where participants experienced a real entrepreneurial setting by working in teams, responding to challenges under time constraints and presenting their ideas to external stakeholders. Collaborative learning, peer exchange and teamwork encouraged participants to strengthen their confidence, communication and leadership skills, while also promoting future international cooperation and active youth participation.
It is an amazing opportunity and a great experience for EKO’s team.
Foivi, Sylvia, Filippos, Theofania & Ioannis were the amazing Greek team members whom we want to thank for all their contributions and collaboration throughout the project!
As EKO, we are very grateful for that amazing opportunity given to the Greek team. We thank our Croatian partner, Argonauta, and the members of the hosting organisation for all their hard work and for creating such an impactful project!
