Announcement: The Eco-Patrols Project Has Been Approved!

The European Union promotes environmental education and youth participation as essential pillars for a sustainable future. In line with these priorities, the Eco-patrol project has been launched to strengthen non-formal environmental education and empower young people to actively engage in environmental protection and civic action across Europe.

The project aims to scale up the Eco-patrol non-formal environmental education method by integrating contemporary environmental concepts and digital tools. By expanding the method to new communities and countries, Eco-patrol seeks to increase youth engagement in local environmental initiatives while building the long-term capacity of youth organisations and educators.

Coordinated by Argonauta (Croatia) and implemented in partnership with organisations from North Macedonia, Greece, Romania, and Spain, the project focuses on developing and upgrading key educational tools, including an updated Eco-patrol Manual, an enhanced mobile eco-game, and an international digital platform supporting learning and collaboration.

A strong emphasis is placed on digitalisation, hands-on eco-actions, and capacity building for youth workers and educators, enabling them to mentor young people in leading real environmental initiatives with visible community impact. At the same time, the project supports knowledge transfer and the replication of good practices across Europe.

Eco-patrol aims to ensure long-term impact by establishing an international Eco-patrol network, strengthening dissemination through digital platforms and social media, and developing policy-oriented recommendations to support sustainable environmental education.
