EKO is happy to announce that one more amazing training course has been completed successfully. The project “COMMUNICATE YOUR SOUL, FEEL AND LISTEN” united 25 young people from Bulgaria, Cyprus, Italy, Greece, Lithuania, Poland, Spain and Portugal. It was organized by the Cypriot organization “Inspiration Path” and took place in Troodos Mountain, Cyprus from 15 to 22 September 2024. 

 

Aims & Objectives of the project 

 

The aim of the training course was to to inspire and empower young people, to support youth workers in developing their communication skills and helping them become better prepared to face the challenges of modern reality. The project was designed to take communication skills to another level: a more natural and deeper one.   In a reality where technology impacts every aspect of our life, participants had the opportunity to explore different communication skills and reconnect with nature and their inner self.

 

More specifically the objectives were:

  • Provide a comprehensive understanding of various communication styles and skills.
  • Equip participants with practical knowledge in mindfulness, non-violent communication, and conflict resolution.
  • Promote creative tools for youth workers to enhance communication skills and self-confidence in youth.
  • Foster empathy to improve interpersonal relations and teamwork.
  • Encourage outdoor activities to build relationships.
  •  Create a safe space for practicing communication and receiving feedback.

Workshops & Activities of the project 

 

Through this project, participants had the opportunity to get better in some key competencies such as multilingual competence, personal, social and learning to learn competence. Participants had the opportunity to work with a non-formal methodology on topics like communication, self development, mindfulness and overall improvement of mental health. The facilitators created a safe space so each participant felt safe to share their opinions and struggles making the whole experience more interactive and fruitful. Furthermore, participants had the opportunity to explore the local traditions, sample authentic Cypriot cuisine, and engage with the warm and welcoming local community.
