EKO is happy to announce that one more amazing training course has been completed successfully. The project Cool Jobs for a Hot Planetunited 34 participants from Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Spain ,Turkiye, Romania. It was organised by the Romania organisation HAIR REDIVIVUS BUZAU, and took place in Sarata Monteoru and Buzau, Romania, from 26 January to 04 February 2026.

 

Aims & Objectives of the project

The project aimed to promote circular economy and social entrepreneurship by equipping youth workers with key competences needed to access and support sustainable labour market opportunities and business initiatives.

Specifically, the project sought to:

-> Develop the key competences of youth workers to understand and apply the principles of circular economy in their daily work with young people.

-> Foster a deeper understanding of sustainable consumption and social entrepreneurship as tools for long-term economic and environmental sustainability.

-> Promote creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking to support the development of social entrepreneurship practices and sustainable business plans.

-> Strengthen participants’ capacity to guide young people toward sustainable career paths and responsible business models aligned with circular economy principles.

 

Workshops & Activities of the project 

The training course was based on non-formal education methods and included interactive workshops and experiential learning activities designed to enhance participants’ entrepreneurial and sustainability competences. Through presentations, world café discussions, debates, simulations, and theatre-based activities, participants explored the principles of circular economy, sustainable consumption, and social entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurial education sessions focused on developing innovative ideas and transforming them into concrete social entrepreneurship business plans within sustainable sectors. Participants worked both in plenary and in teams, engaging in collaborative workshops, problem-solving exercises, and video creation activities. Outdoor activities, study visits, and intercultural evenings enriched the learning experience by encouraging exchange of good practices and strengthening intercultural understanding.
