EKO is happy to announce that one more amazing training course has been completed successfully. The project “ Cultural Storytelling Canvas” united 40 participants from Turkey, Slovakia, Spain, Greece and Netherlands. It was organised by the Dutch organisation yEUth, and took place in Schaijk, the Netherlands from 4 to 13 March 2025.
Aims & Objectives of the project
This youth exchange provided participants with the opportunity to explore various aspects of their culture, such as myths, legends, music, food, and customs, in an interactive and collaborative environment. By reflecting on their cultural identity and learning about others, participants gained a broader perspective on European diversity and the shared values that unite us.
In addition to cultural storytelling, the project addressed pressing global issues such as climate change and the digital transformation. Participants engaged in discussions about how to combat climate change and adopt sustainable lifestyles, while also learning how to use digital tools effectively to communicate our ideas and stories.

This youth exchange allowed participants to explore their cultural heritage through myths, music, food, and traditions, creating a deeper understanding of European diversity. By reflecting on their own identities and learning from others, they strengthened their sense of shared values and cultural appreciation. The project also addressed key global challenges like climate change and digital transformation, encouraging discussions on sustainability and empowering participants to use digital tools to communicate effectively.
Throughout the exchange, young people challenged stereotypes and engaged in meaningful dialogue, developing critical skills in communication and collaboration. They also explored how to promote environmental awareness and digital literacy, gaining practical knowledge to advocate for sustainable practices in their communities.
As the project concluded, participants were not only more connected to their cultural roots but also inspired to take action and contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive future.
