EcoReactEU: Exploring Innovative Tools to Address Eco-Anxiety with Young People

As part of a recent pilot action, educators and youth workers collaborating with young people aged 15–25 had the opportunity to test innovative and forward-thinking tools focused on the increasingly important issue of eco-anxiety. The activity was designed as an experimental phase, allowing participants to engage directly with young people and explore new approaches in a supportive learning environment.

Throughout the action, participants explored new methods for supporting young people in relation to eco-anxiety, with an emphasis on emotional awareness, dialogue, and empowerment. Special attention was given to the creation of safe spaces where young people could freely express their concerns, share experiences, and feel heard without judgment.

At the same time, the action encouraged young people to move beyond concern and transform their environmental anxiety into meaningful and positive action. The experience provided valuable insights for educators and youth workers, highlighting the importance of practical tools and participatory methods when addressing eco-anxiety in youth work and educational settings.
