EYES Project – September 2026 Highlights

🌍 EYES Project – September  2026

In September 2026, the EYES Erasmus+ partnership continued its online activities and coordination efforts, chaired by ITO NIGERIA, with a strong focus on intercultural dialogue, youth participation, and the preparation of future thematic sessions and project activities. Partners remained actively engaged in strengthening collaboration, ensuring smooth communication, and promoting inclusive participation across all countries involved in the project.

💼 On 11 September 2026, we held our International Online Discussion: Social and Solidarity Economy Around the World, facilitated within the EYES project framework, facilitated by  WEBDEV FOUNDATION. Also on 25 of September 2026 we held our Train of Trainers part 2, facilitated by Karaman Youth

Young people from Spain, Italy, Greece, Türkiye, Ghana, Cameroon, Gabon, and Nigeria came together to explore the landscape of the Social and Solidarity Economy around the world. Through interactive discussions, they shared perspectives and experiences from their own local contexts, learned about different approaches to cooperative enterprises and community-led initiatives across countries, and discovered innovative strategies, sustainable business models, and the values of democratic governance, social equity, and cross-border collaboration connected to building a more inclusive and resilient global economy.

Building on this learning experience, youth workers from the eight partner countries came together for the Train of Trainers session. Throughout the session, they went through the full training programme, experiencing its activities and methodologies while also examining them from a facilitator’s perspective. By exchanging experiences and good practices from their work with young people, the youth workers strengthened their facilitation and training skills and gained practical tools to support them in delivering the programme within their own local contexts.

Together, the two sessions created a bridge between learning and practice: while young people had the opportunity to explore, discuss, and better understand the Social and Solidarity Economy, youth workers were equipped with the knowledge, methodologies, and tools needed to bring this learning experience to more young people and communities across the eight partner countries.
