Forum Theatre – act for positive change

 

Youth Exchange 01/07/2024 – 09/07/2024 in Dobrinishte, Bulgaria.

EKO is happy to announce that one more amazing youth exchange has been completed successfully. The project Forum Theatre – act for positive change united 21 young people from Bulgaria, Greece, Belgium, Spain, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia. It was organized by the Bulgarian organization “VIA CIVIC ASSOCIATION” and took place in Dobrinishte (Bulgaria) from 01 to 09 July 2024. 

 

Aims & Objectives of the project 

 

The aim of the youth exchange “Forum Theater” was to to inspire and empower young people to develop skills for active participation, self-expression,  assertion of rights, and

transformation of a conflict situation into a positive solution.

More specifically the objectives were:

  • Influencing positive change

  • Help in overcoming of addictions

  • Changing negative qualities, stereotypes of behavior

Workshops & Activities of the project 

 

Through this project, participants had the opportunity to get better in some key competencies such as multilingual competence, personal, social and learning to learn competence. Participants had the opportunity to work with a non-formal methodology on topics like personal development, forum theater, non-violent communication, non-aggressive behavior and intercultural exchange. The exchange included workshops and non-formal educational activities such as group work, “forum theater” method, writing and acting in play. They hiked in the Mountains up to about 2000 m above sea level! They had the opportunity to connect with each other through storytelling around a bonfire. Every country had the freedom of facilitating one or more activities during the week. 

 

It is an amazing opportunity and a great experience for EKO’s team

 

Theodoros, Panagiota, Gerasimos, Eleonora, and Thodoris were the amazing Greek team members whom we want to thank for all their contributions and collaboration throughout the project!

 

As EKO, we are very grateful for that amazing opportunity given to the Greek team. We thank our Bulgarian partner VIA CIVIC ASSOCIATION and the members of the hosting organization for all their hard work and for creating such an impactful project!
