Go 4 Green – Local Event 1 (Educational Training)

EKO is excited to announce the completion of its first local event, part of the KA2 project “Go 4 Green”, that was held on 26/04/2025 . The project aims to promote active citizenship, empower youth, and combat climate change through sports and outdoor activities.

In an immersive educational meeting held in the forest, teenagers explored local ecosystems while gaining insight into pressing environmental issues such as deforestation, biodiversity loss, and climate change mitigation. The session was designed to combine hands-on experiences with interactive discussions, encouraging participants to reflect on the role they can play in protecting the environment.

The forest setting allowed participants to see real-world examples of ecological processes, while expert facilitators guided conversations about sustainable practices, climate-friendly behaviors, and strategies for community engagement. This approach enabled teenagers to connect theoretical knowledge with practical action, deepening their understanding of environmental challenges.

By fostering awareness, discussion, and personal responsibility in a natural setting, the project empowers teenagers to become informed advocates for environmental sustainability. The forest became a “classroom” without walls, proving that learning can be immersive, interactive, and inspiring all at once.

Stay tuned for our next ‘Go 4 Green’ adventure and join us in making a real difference for the environment!
