EKO is excited to announce the completion of its second local event, part of the KA2 project “Go 4 Green,” held on 10/05/2025. The project aims to promote active citizenship, empower youth, and combat climate change through sports and outdoor activities.
Our Sports Day brought teenagers together for a day filled with diverse physical activities set in the heart of nature. From team games to individual challenges, the event highlighted how sports and physical engagement can be combined with environmental awareness to inspire youth involvement in climate action.
Beyond the fun and competition, the event served as an opportunity for discussions on environmental responsibility. Through group games, participants explored important topics such as water conservation, the importance of biodiversity, and the broader need to protect natural resources. One highlight was playing apples, tag, football, and various team challenges.
By experiencing the joy of playing outside—on grass and under the shade of trees—teenagers also gained a tangible appreciation for natural spaces, something that is increasingly rare in urban environments. Through these experiences, participants could connect the pleasure of being in nature with the importance of protecting it, understanding firsthand why preventing waste and preserving ecosystems matters.
Stay tuned for our next activities!
