EKO is happy to announce that one more amazing youth exchange has been completed successfully. The project “ Green Motion” united 35 participants from Turkey, Portugal, Spain, Greece, Croatia, North Macedonia and Slovenia. It was organised by the Croatian organisation Argonauta, and took place in Šibenik, Croatia, from 1 to 10 October 2025.

Aims & Objectives of the project

The main goal is to empower young people to become active ambassadors of environmental protection through nature-based sports and outdoor activities that foster ecological awareness. This will also allow intercultural collaboration at group level and personal growth on individual level. Participants will return home with stronger environmental values, improved physical well-being, new skills in teamwork, communication, and creative problem-solving.

More specifically, the project aims to:

-Promote environmental awareness through direct experience with nature, engaging participants in outdoor sports that highlight the beauty and vulnerability of natural ecosystems.

-Foster healthy lifestyles and well-being through physical activities and sports that are fun, inclusive, and environmentally respectful.

-Raise awareness about the impact of human activities on marine and terrestrial ecosystems through action in nature, educational workshops, clean-up initiatives, and ecological games.
-Strengthen intercultural dialogue and cooperation by encouraging teamwork and mutual learning among youth from diverse backgrounds.

Workshops & Activities of the project

This project empowered young people through promoting environmental awareness, healthy lifestyles and action in nature. By exploring the impact that human activities are causing, it provided the participant with a better understanding of the vulnerability of natural ecosystems. They learned how to adopt healthy lifestyles and become active ambassadors of environmental protection.

Through collaboration, ecological games, nature-based sports and outdoor activities participants embraced sustainable practices and were equipped to become advocates for sustainable living and contribute to a more eco-conscious community.

It is an amazing opportunity and a great experience for EKO’s team.

Christina, Christos, Evangelos, Ilias, Ioannis & Theodora were the amazing Greek team members whom we want to thank for all their contributions and collaboration throughout the project!

As EKO, we are very grateful for that amazing opportunity given to the Greek team. We thank our Croatian partner Argonauta and the members of the hosting organization for all their hard work and for creating such an impactful project!
