International Impact Hub

EKO is happy to announce that one of the mobilities for the “YOUng Changemakers for Circular Local Economy” project has been completed successfully. The project’s mobility (International Impact Hub) united 10 youth workers and 6 youngsters from Turkiye, Spain, Romania, Greece, and Belgium. The mobility was organized by the Turkish partner, EIG, and took place in Istanbul, Turkiye from 03 to 06 March 2025.

Local mentoring activities took place during the international mobility, providing a unique opportunity for representatives from the two winning teams from Spain, Turkey and Greece, who travelled to Istanbul, to present their business ideas to an audience of fellow young entrepreneurs, trainers and mentors.

During the mobility in Istanbul, participants apart from presenting their business ideas, they had, also, the chance to receive feedback from experts and collaborate with peers to improve their plans. Participating youth workers also shared best practices from their countries, promoting the exchange of knowledge and experiences. Interesting ice-breaking activities helped to build bonds, while interactive sessions encouraged in-depth discussions on business improvements. A study visit to a local institution provided valuable insights into innovative practices, while participants had time to explore Istanbul as well, immersing themselves in its rich culture and history.

This experience of participating in international mobility aimed to strengthen cross-border connections, allowing participants to share knowledge about their local contexts, expand their networks and draw international inspiration. Last but not least, they became part of an international community of young changemakers who are committed to promoting circular economy solutions and fostering positive change in their communities.

An amazing opportunity and a great experience for EKO’s team! Vivian, Alex, Natalia and Konstantina were the members of the Greek team representing EKO in Turkiye. As EKO, we are very grateful for that amazing opportunity given to the Greek team and we would like to thank our partner EIG for hosting us!
