“JOUR-YOU” 3-day Local Workshop was successfully implemented in Cairo, Egypt on May 21 – 23, 2023! The workshop was organized in the context of the KA2 “Citizen Journalism Academy” project, funded by Erasmus+ programme, which aims at promoting citizen journalism and media literacy as a means of effective participation in society, and at enhancing the leadership and organizational skills of the participating youth, in addition to adopting new methods of interacting with youth through digital media. The Partner Consortium consists of 7 partner organizations, including: Bulgaria (Leading partner) Greece Italy Albania Jordan Egypt Tunisia The Egyptian trainers: Mr. Abdelrahman, Ms. Marina and Ms. Farida managed to familiarize the participants with the main concepts of citizen journalism and fake news within the media framework. The workshop was assisted by international trainers from Greece (EKO): Ms. Kitty & Ms. Angeliki and Bulgaria (FECE): Ms. Yordanka and Mr. Todor, who facilitated the implementation process. During the workshop, multiple training tools developed by all the partners during the project were tested and gave an insight to the participants, who successfully implemented them. The participants were fully motivated and creative during the whole period of the workshop.
