EKO is happy to announce that one more amazing training course has been completed successfully. The project “Living is an Emergency” united 24 participants from Turkey, Italy, Slovenia, Portugal, Greece and Spain. It was organized by the Spanish organization “Asociación Enredados” and took place in Xativa, Spain from 04 to 12 September  2025.

Aims & Objectives of the project

The training course “Living is an Emergency” aimed to:

  1.  Raise awareness among young people of the importance of being prepared and aware of possible emergency situations, fostering a critical and reflective attitude towards these issues.
  2. Promote cultural exchange between young people from different European countries, fostering mutual knowledge of cultures, traditions and languages in a non-formal learning environment.
  3. To promote values of solidarity, cooperation and empathy among young people, strengthening social cohesion and the spirit of community in multicultural contexts.

Workshops & Activities of the project

Through this project, participants engaged in initiatives that enhanced their understanding and readiness when an emergency situation occurs. Activities raised youth awareness of the significance of fostering a critical and reflective attitude towards potential issues. Workshops focused on developing key competencies such as critical thinking, empathy, and effective communication. Non-formal education methods were used that assure balance between theory and practice, enabling young people to promote values of solidarity, cooperation and empathy. Participants were also empowered to act as change agents within their communities, promoting inclusion, equity, and respect for diversity.

It is an amazing opportunity and a great experience for EKO’s team!

Sotirios, Ioanna, Despoina and Konstantinos were the amazing Greek team members whom we want to thank for all their contributions and collaboration throughout the project!

As EKO, we are very grateful for that amazing opportunity given to the Greek team. We thank our Spanish partner Asociación Enredados and the members of the hosting organisation for all their hard work and for creating such an impactful project!
