PRO(F)LITERACY COVERS

 Multiplier Event in Athens, Greece

February 27th marked the last multiplier event of the PRO(F)LITERACY 2.0 Project hosted by EKO in Athens, Greece.

The event turned out to be the perfect blend of fun and learning, successfully achieving its goal of disseminating information about both Erasmus+ Programs and finance literacy. The event’s agenda was packed with interesting activities that involved all the numerous young participants from different cultural backgrounds.

After an energizer activity that allowed participants to introduce themselves to one another, the event facilitator took the floor for a short presentation explaining how the Erasmus + Program works. Thanks to this speech, the attendees who previously didn’t know about the opportunities offered by the EU programs were inspired to participate in the next ones.

Following, we delved into the core of the activity of PRO(F)LITERACY 2.0, providing participants with key insights. The facilitator briefly outlined the main aspects of PRO(F)LITERACY 2.0, including the ultimate objective, which is combat social exclusion and/or poverty among young people, resulting from low economic and financial knowledge; the project’s target, namely young students and workers; and the project’s modalities along with its obtain results. A particular focus was placed on the useful PRO(F)LITERACY 2.0 Handbook, a valuable tangible output that anyone can easily consult to expand his finance knowledge and answer daily economic questions.

To conclude the event, participants engaged in a game-based learning activity on the Kahoot platform, testing their newly acquired knowledge interactively and enjoyably.

The Multiplier Event was a great success for both participants and facilitators, marking the final milestone of the KA2 Erasmus+ Project PRO(F)LITERACY 2.0. This project stemmed from the need to increase the citizens’ capacity to make conscious financial decisions in order to avoid social exclusion arising based on poverty and social disparities and, consequently, increase the European financial literacy rates. This project involved 6 partners from all around Europe: PROACTING (Portugal), EUROSUD (Italy), Evolving YOUth (Latvia), NYH (Estonia), and EKO (Greece). The consortium actively cooperated for the 18-month duration of the project, successfully achieving its objectives.
