EKO is happy to announce that one more amazing training course has been completed successfully. The project “Road of Europe” united 20 participants from Norway, Greece, Croatia, Italy and Slovakia. It was organized by the Spanish organization Enredados Asociación and took place in Xativa (Spain) from 04 to 12 September 2024.
Aims & Objectives of the project
The primary objective of this project is to raise awareness among young people about these challenges through a youth exchange program. By fostering dialogue, sharing experiences, and generating empathy, the project seeks to highlight the complexities involved in being a young emigrant in a foreign country. Participants will explore ways to support better integration and inclusion, ultimately contributing to a more cohesive and accepting society. By empowering young people to understand and address the difficulties faced by their peers, the project aims to promote cultural understanding, reduce prejudice, and equip young emigrants with the tools and knowledge necessary to integrate successfully into their host communities.
More specifically the objectives were:
The achievement of a correct integration of young emigrants, thus allowing their integration into
society and developing skills such as European citizenship.
– The raise awareness about the situation of immigrants and avoid xenophobic behavior. Thus,
we seek to meet the need to eliminate extreme positions that arise, many times, from
ignorance.
– The knowledge of the barriers and stereotypes that revolve around immigration.
– The development and implementation of each of the aforementioned phases so that the participants get to know it in first hand.
– The ability to function in any country in the world thanks to development of our personal,
professional and social skills.
Workshops & Activities of the project
Our Youth Exchange will be non-formal learning. It means that learning is based on your experience,
your motivation and your needs. During the exchange, non-formal education methods and methods
that assure balance between theory and practice will be used such as presentations, group works,
workshops, games, role plays, exercises etc
