Successful Implementation of the EYES Kick-off Meeting

The Kick-off Meeting for the EYES project (Empowering Youth: Erasmus Plus Virtual Exchange for Active Citizenship and Social Inclusion) took place on February 6, 2025, and was hosted online by the project coordinator, Asociacion De Cooperacion al Desarrollo ABARKA (ABARKA ONGD), in Spain. This inaugural meeting officially launched the project and provided a common context for partners to align on objectives, responsibilities, and initial actions. During the meeting, partners reviewed the project’s goals, timeline, and work packages (WPs). Key topics included project guidelines, dissemination strategies, and risk assessments. The discussion
highlighted the importance of collaboration, clear communication, and adherence to the grant agreement. Guidelines for deliverables were also established to ensure alignment with project objectives. Running for 36 months, from February 1st, 2025, and ends on January 31th, 2028, the project involves eight organisations from European and African countries: ABARKA ONGD (Spain), Karaman Youth Club NGO (Türkiye), Stella Marina (Italy), Entrepreneurship and Social Economy Group (Greece), Web Dev Foundation (Cameroon), ONG SIFOS (Gabon), International Talent Outreach (Nigeria), AIESEC Alumni (Ghana). It established a strong foundation for collaboration and a shared commitment to promote social inclusion, active citizenship, and sustainable development among young people in Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana and Gabon through online exchanges and training.
