Between May 12 and 23, 2025, EKO took part in a short-term international exchange carried out in Loryhan, Belgium, through its youth worker, in the framework of the Erasmus+ KA2 ECHOES programme. The exchange, hosted by our Belgian partner Coordination CRH, connected youth workers from both host and sending organisations to work together, share experiences and try out innovative methods to involve the youth in climate action and community participation. The primary objective of the exchange was to promote intercultural learning and offer practical tools and methods for youth workers to foster climate advocacy among young people. Our representative from EKO was actively involved in facilitating a variety of nature-centered activities with children – including constructing story themed wooden houses, coordinating with nature sounds such as birds and the wind, keeping a story properly sequenced, hiking, and producing nature-inspired art projects using leaves and flowers. She came back to Greece with new knowledge, valuable tools and an enhanced feeling of collaboration that will reinforce EKO & local initiatives. We are deeply grateful to the CRH Coordination for accommodating such a rewarding experience and to CERA, the coordinating partner, for bringing about this significant project!
