As part of the PRO(F)LITERACY 2.0 project, EKO successfully implemented two consecutive rounds of 5 local workshops each, addressing a diverse range of topics aimed at enhancing participants’ financial literacy and skills. During the first round of the 5 local workshops, essential areas such as budget planning, understanding the Greek tax system, credit and loans, the banking system in Greece, and labor laws were covered.
Through interactive activities, such as pantomime, case studies, and practical discussions, participants gained practical knowledge and insights into managing finances, navigating legal frameworks, and improving their overall financial well-being.
In the second round of the remaining 5 local workshops, EKO expanded its focus to include digital finance, saving and investing, and budget management while reinforcing financial literacy and psychology. Participants explored cutting-edge topics like mobile banking, cryptocurrency, and investment strategies while engaging in hands-on activities such as portfolio design and budgeting exercises. With a blend of theoretical insights and practical applications, these workshops equipped participants with the tools to navigate the modern financial landscape confidently and effectively, fostering sustainable financial habits and awareness.
It is worth mentioning that the PRO(F)LITERACY project aims to enhance financial literacy among European young people through a variety of non-formal activities focused on developing practical and applicable skills. This project brings together five European partners committed to providing the tools and resources needed to empower young people to make informed financial decisions and promote their financial sustainability.
