Training of Trainers

EKO is happy to announce that another mobility of the KA2 project, STELLA, has been completed successfully. The mobility, Training of Trainers, united 20 youth workers from Cyprus, Italy, Greece, Malta, and Portugal. It was organized by the Maltese organization TDM2000 Malta and took place in Pembroke, Malta, from 09 to 15 March 2025.

STELLA (Sport as a Tool for Environmental Sustainability Learning) is an Erasmus+ KA220 project – Cooperation Partnership in Youth, whose priority is to improve youth environmental education by fostering ethical behavior through sports-related tools.

The participants in this training had the opportunity to develop essential skills that they will implement in local activities, ensuring that the knowledge gained is put into practice effectively. The training was highly educational and informative, covering a range of methods to engage young people in environmental learning through sports.

The trainers played a crucial role in maintaining a dynamic and engaging learning environment. Through a combination of theoretical sessions and practical activities, they explored the characteristics of an effective trainer and the fundamental elements that define a sport. Participants engaged in various sports-based exercises, including football, volleyball, a night treasure hunt to explore the old town. Before the training ended they developed their own workshops using a sport as a tool to address environmental challenges. These workshops were then implemented and evaluated, allowing them to identify areas for improvement and enhance their training skills.

Constructive feedback was an essential part of the process, providing them with valuable insights that will be useful in our everyday work with young people. As a next step, a toolkit will be developed, compiling all the effective workshops created during the training, ensuring that the project’s impact extends beyond the mobility itself.

Finally, the training took place in a highly collaborative and productive atmosphere, with all participants contributing to a meaningful exchange of ideas and experiences. It was an amazing opportunity and a great experience for EKO’s team

Maria, Kostas, Zoi and Konstantina were the amazing Greek team members whom we want to thank for all their contributions and collaboration throughout the project!

As EKO, we are very grateful for that amazing opportunity given to the Greek team. We thank our Maltese partner TDM2000 Malta and the members of the hosting organization for all their hard work and for creating such an impactful project!

Thank you!!!!!
