Youth Fights for All – A generation informed about gender equality

Youth Exchange 21/01/2024 – 27/01/2024 in Guimarães, Portugal

EKO is happy to announce that one more amazing youth exchange has been successfully completed. The project Youth Fights for All – A generation informed about gender equality united 42 young participants from Croatia, Sweden, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Greece and Portugal. It was organized by the Portuguese organization ADDHG, and took place in Guimaraes, Portugal from 21st  to 27th of  January 2024. 

 

Aims & Objectives of the project 

The aim of the Youth Exchange was to contribute to gender equality in Europe, in all spheres, using a participatory approach, relying on the direct and close involvement of young people. 

 

More specifically the objectives were:

  • Raise awareness among young people about the reality of violence, discrimination and gender inequality in Europe and its countries
  • Motivate young people to want to become active agents in the fight against the problem
  • Promote the development of key skills that allow young people to be proactive in preventing and combating this social problem
  • Raise awareness among young people about European values, including equality, diversity, respect, unity, non-discrimination, freedom and justice
  • Raise awareness among young people about the importance of their role as agents of social change in combating social problems, with a special focus on young boys.

 

Workshops & Activities of the project 

 

Through this project, participants had the opportunity to get better in some key competencies such as multilingual competence, personal, social and learning to learn competence. During  the week, they worked with a non-formal methodology on topics

 

An amazing opportunity and great experience for EKO’s team

 

Maria – Louiza, Miltiadis, Anxhela, Anastasia, Emilio, Charalampos and Chrysoula were the members of this amazing Greek team whom we really wanna thank for all their contribution and collaboration throughout the project!
