EKO is happy to announce that one more amazing training course has been completed successfully. The project “Youth Goals in Practice” united participants from Croatia, Italy, Lithuania, Israel, Hungary, Georgia, North Macedonia, Moldova, Greece, Turkiye and Latvia. It was organised by the Latvian organisation “World-Our Home”, and took place in Rezekne, Latvia, from 09 April to 15 April 2026.

Aims & Objectives of the project

The project aimed to strengthen the capacity of youth workers to implement and integrate the European Youth Goals into their daily youth work practice, fostering youth participation, inclusion and active citizenship across Europe.

Specifically, the project sought to:

 – Develop youth workers’ understanding of the 11 European Youth Goals and their relevance to the needs of young people at local, national and European levels.

– Foster the exchange of good practices on how European Youth Goals are implemented in youth work, projects and youth policy.

– Promote the development of practical methods and tools for translating Youth Goals into concrete youth work activities.

– Strengthen international cooperation, networking and peer learning among youth workers and youth organisations.

– Enhance the role of youth workers in the context of European Youth Week, promoting young people’s voices, democratic participation and European values.

Workshops & Activities of the project

The training course was based on non-formal education methods and included interactive workshops and experiential learning activities designed to enhance participants’ competences related to the European Youth Goals. Through presentations, discussions, and peer-learning activities, participants explored the importance and implementation of Youth Goals in today’s Europe.

Participants engaged in analysing how Youth Goals are applied in different local and national contexts, while also co-creating ideas, tools and approaches for integrating them into their own youth work practice and organisational strategies. Collaborative workshops, group work and discussions supported knowledge exchange and the development of future cooperation and Erasmus+ youth projects.

The seminar also contributed to participants’ professional development and strengthened the visibility, relevance and impact of the European Youth Goals in youth work across Europe.

It is an amazing opportunity and a great experience for EKO’s team!
