EKO is happy to announce that the first TPM for the KA2 project “EcoRoutes:  Unlocking the Potential of Youth in Tourism” was a success. The hybrid meeting took place at Obsotelje & Kozjansko, Slovenia on 26 and 27 of October, 2023. Partners from Greece, Slovenia, Italy and Austria met on sight, while Cyprus and France joined them online.

The “EcoRoutes” project is an inspiring and impactful initiative that aims to:

-promote youth employment,

-enhance the knowledge of Europe’s cultural and natural heritage and

-inspire young people to better understand the significance of promoting and preserving their heritage for future generations.

During the two-day meeting partners went through the project’s activities, exchanged ideas,  reviewed the project’s objectives, and collaboratively planned the next steps  in order to achieve these goals. Also, they  distributed responsibilities among the partners, tailored to their unique expertise and skills. This not only ensured everyone’s equal contribution to the project’s success, but also maximizes the project’s potential by leveraging the strengths of each organization. Furthermore, partners shared inspiring examples of sustainable tourism practices from their own countries, fostering a spirit of mutual learning and collaboration. These exchanges helped partners to learn more about each country’s policies and sustainable approaches to tourism.

It is safe to say that “EcoRoutes” is a promising project. The activities planned for the coming months are not only innovative but also highly educational, designed to inspire both participants and the wider public. Stay tuned for updates, as the “EcoRoutes” journey continues to unfold with exciting developments and opportunities for youth to engage, learn, and lead.
