January 2025 – December 2027
The EYES—Virtual Exchange is a three-year Erasmus+ initiative that promotes active citizenship, social inclusion, and sustainable development among young across Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa through virtual discussions and capacity-building programmes.
Empowering Youth: Erasmus Plus Virtual Exchange for Active Citizenship and Social Inclusion (EYES) is a project that fosters social inclusion, active citizenship, and sustainable development among young people in Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Through virtual exchanges and online training, it will equip youth and youth workers with essential skills to tackle global challenges such as unemployment, mental health, and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Rooted in the Erasmus Plus values of mobility, cooperation, and innovation, the initiative connects 2,168 participants from Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, and Gabon over 36 months.
By promoting intercultural dialogue and collaboration, it will strengthen EU-Africa relations and empower young people as agents of change in their communities.
The project will consist of three main components: online mentor training, online-facilitated discussions between young people of youth organizations, and training for youth workers willing to develop virtual exchange projects.
