EKO is happy to announce that one more amazing training course has been completed successfully. The project “Harmony in Chaos:Turning Conflict into Growth” united 24 participants from Greece, Bulgária, Romania, Slovenia, Turkey, Italy, Portugal, Armenia, Georgia, Belgium, Slovakia and Poland. It was organised by the Bulgarian organisation Via Civic and took place in Dobrinishte, Bulgaria, from 02 to 10 June 2025.
Aims & Objectives of the project
This Erasmus+ training course aims to improve youth workers’ competences in understanding, applying tools, and gaining the confidence to navigate and mediate conflicts effectively. In response to increasing social disconnection, the project equips participants with the skills needed to foster meaningful dialogue, build emotional awareness, and promote connection within diverse communities
More specifically, the project aims to:
– Facilitate a deep process of self-reflection on personal perceptions and behaviours in conflict situations.
– Increase understanding and practical application of Nonviolent Communication processes.
– Share international experiences and best practices in conflict mediation to enhance the quality of youth work.
Workshops & Activities of the project
Throughout the training course, participants engaged in a variety of dynamic and experiential workshops designed to deepen their understanding of conflict and connection. Sessions on Nonviolent Communication provided tools to transform conflict into opportunities for growth. At the same time, Mediation Techniques helped participants develop the mindset and skills to guide individuals and groups toward greater understanding and harmony.
Creative methods such as Sociometry, Sociodrama, and Psychodrama Roleplays were used to explore how power, privilege, and social roles influence identity, relationships, and group dynamics. In addition, participants engaged in reflective and expressive activities that incorporated puppetry, outdoor processes, art, play, and deep self-reflection—all designed to foster emotional insight, relationship-building, and practical application in real-life settings.
This rich combination of methods ensured that participants not only learned theoretical approaches but also experienced them in action, enhancing their confidence and competence as youth workers.
It is an amazing opportunity and a great experience for EKO’s team.
Alexandros was the amazing Greek team member whom we want to thank for all his contributions and collaboration throughout the project!
As EKO, we are very grateful for that amazing opportunity given to the Greek team. We thank our Bulgarian partner, Via Civic, and the members of the hosting organisation for all their hard work and for creating such an impactful project!
