On September 6, the EYES (Empowering Youth: Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange for Active Citizenship and Social Inclusion) project concluded its Train-the-Trainer series with the final session on “Youth Unemployment and Entrepreneurship.” Partners from eight countries took part in discussions on fostering entrepreneurial mindsets among youth and supporting them in tackling employment challenges through innovation and collaboration. Later in the month, on September 30, EYES launched its first online facilitated discussion under WP3: EYES in Action, bringing together 91 young participants from Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, and Gabon. The three-hour session explored “Migration and Rural Exodus” through interactive polls, storytelling, and group reflections. Participants identified key drivers of rural exodus—such as unemployment, insecurity, and limited infrastructure—and shared aspirations to become entrepreneurs, innovators, and community leaders. They also co-designed early project ideas addressing agriculture, women’s empowerment, renewable energy, and cultural preservation. The session marked the beginning of a 24-month virtual exchange journey, where monthly dialogues will continue on eyesnetwork.org, supported by ongoing mentoring, training, and collaborative project development.
