Dare to Self-Care

Training Course 08/06/2023 – 14/06/2023 in Playa de Piles (Valencia), Spain

EKO is happy to announce that one more amazing training course  has been successfully completed. The project “Dare to Self Care” united 24 young participants from Portugal, Greece, Spain , Croatia, Romania, Estonia, Poland and Bulgaria. It was organized by the organization Associacio Cultura Creativa, and took place in Playa De Piles (Valencia), Spain from 8 to 14 of June 2023. 


Aims & Objectives of the project 

The project aimed to attract attention to the growing importance of self-care and well-being and to address the issue of stress among youth workers and support them in their daily activities. The main goal was to improve youth workers’ awareness and knowledge about self-care, mental health and emotional intelligence and their importance in our everyday life. 


More specifically the objectives were:


  • – To offer practical tools and methods which youth workers can implement into their professional activities and personal lives to achieve better results and avoid burnout
  • – To enhance participants’ organizational competences and time-management skills and learn how it can contribute to dealing with stress
  • – To share methods and techniques for prioritizing and finding a purpose to increase their motivation and job satisfaction
  • – To improve youth work quality by providing the participants with space to reflect on their role of youth support

Workshops & Activities of the project 

Through this project, participants had the opportunity to get better in some key competencies such as multilingual competence, personal, social and learning to learn competence. During  the week, they worked with a non-formal methodology, with dynamics,  they worked in small groups, had creative workshops, tasks and brainstorming with the others. They improved their own well-being in order to be more successful in both personal and professional lives. In summary, all team members developed different skills and competencies while acquiring new knowledge. They were able to develop skills such as a sense of initiative, creativity, teamwork, the ability to energize, practice languages, self-reflection and critical thinking… and definitely lots of certain skills.
