I’m Social, I’m Special

Youth exchange 21/03/2024 – 31/03/2024 in Sarata Monteoru- Buzau, Romania

EKO is happy to announce that one more amazing training course has been completed successfully. The project “I’m Social, I’m Special” united 40 young participants from Romania, Bulgaria, Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, and Serbia. It was organized by the Romanian organization Fundatia Pentru Tineret and took place in Sarata Monteoru and Bazau (Romania) from 21 to 31 March 2024. 

 

Aims & Objectives of the project 

 

The project aimed to increase the entrepreneurial potential of unemployed young people and NEET for initiating and developing social businesses. Furthermore, it was designed to introduce the fundamentals and characteristics of social business through practical exercises. The project also aimed to share and exchange experiences, statistics, and support programs from the participating countries. 

 

More specifically the objectives were:

  •  Strengthening the creative and entrepreneurial spirit of the unemployed and NEET for

starting social businesses.

  •  Developing for unemployed young people and NEETs of new personal, civic, digital

and entrepreneurial skills

  • Increasing the capacity of youngsters to capitalize on innovative entrepreneurial ideas by building and being prepared for implementing “social entrepreneurship business plans”



Workshops & Activities of the project 

 

Through this project, participants had the opportunity to get better in some key competencies such as multilingual competence, personal, social, and learning to learn competence. Τhe participants engaged in activities based on non-formal education methodσ. They attended many workshops about business and entrepreneurship in order to learn what social entrepreneurship is, and how to build their own businesses. Participants also visited local social enterprises to further understand the topic and a cultural and study visit to the city center and Buzau. All the participants engaged also in activities like land art in the forest,  intercultural events, board games and movies. The project was very interesting and all everyone returned to their countries with new knowledge and happy memories.

Marilia, Vaios, Eleni, Ioanna and Nikos were the members of this amazing Greek team whom we really wanna thank for all their contribution and collaboration throughout the project!
