In peace with the storm
Training Course 30/05/2024 – 07/06/2024 in Dobrinishte, Bulgaria
EKO is happy to announce that one more amazing training course has been completed successfully. The project “In peace with the storm” united 20 young participants from Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Spain, Armenia, Poland, Belgium, Netherlands, Romania, and Slovenia. It was organized by the Bulgarian organization VIA CIVIC Association and took place in Dobrinishte, Bulgaria from 30 May- 07 June 2024.
Aims & Objectives of the project
The aim of the training course “In Peace with the Storm” was to provoke participants to discover – what is the genesis of conflicts, where they are in them, and how they act – freeze, escape, or fight. And above all – how to master them so that they grow through them as individuals, to accept them as gifts of fate, sent not by chance. The project aims to improve youth workers’ understanding of the genesis of conflicts and prepare them with practical tools for their role as mediators in conflict situations.
More specifically the objectives were:
Workshops & Activities of the project
Through this project, participants had the opportunity to get better in some key competencies such as multilingual competence, personal, social and learning to learn competence. During the week, they worked with non-formal education methodology. They hiked in the Mountains up to about 2000 m above sea level! Also, they spent a night outdoors telling intercultural stories and making a fire. In summary, all team members developed different skills and competencies while acquiring new knowledge. They were able to develop skills such as a sense of initiative, creativity, teamwork, the ability to energize, practice languages, reflection and critical thinking and definitely lots of certain skills.
