Youth Exchange 01/11/2023 – 11/11/2023 in Terrassa, Spain

EKO is happy to announce that one more amazing youth exchange has been successfully completed. The project “JOBCAST” united 25 young participants from France, Greece, Italy, Spain and Slovenia. It was organized by the Spanish organization La Vibria Intercultural, and took place in Terrassa, Spain from 1  to 11 of  November 2023. 

 

Aims & Objectives of the project 

 

The project aimed to increase the employability of the participants by promoting the development of their key competences, especially those related to teamwork, oral expression, digital and linguistic skills, soft skills and personal development. Knowledge, resources and opportunities about Erasmus+ were learnt by participants as well. 

 

More specifically the objectives were:

  • Work on issues related to job search through tools based on gamification and the creation of podcasts
  • Promote the development of key competences in young people
  • Provide a space for the exchange of knowledge, ideas and experiences between young people from different backgrounds and cultures
  • Promote creativity and innovation in concrete actions related to youth employment
  • Put into practice the tools and games focusing on employability
  • Expand their abilities and opportunities in the search for employment through experimentation and experiential methodology

 

Workshops & Activities of the project 

 

Through this project, participants had the opportunity to get better in some key competencies such as multilingual competence, personal, social and learning to learn competence. The program was based on non-formal education and experiential methodology, including activities such as workshops, debates, teamwork dynamics and visits, combined with the use of games created specifically to help young people in their job search. During the project the participants explored the use of the radio and podcasting as an instrument to develop digital, social and communication skills, using their voice as a tool for self-expression and empowerment. They were able to develop skills such as a sense of initiative, creativity, teamwork, the ability to energize, practice languages, reflection and critical thinking.

Theodoros, Georgios, Aikaterini, Angelos and Christina were the members of this amazing Greek team whom we really wanna thank for all their contribution and collaboration throughout the project!
