Mindful Growth: Cultivating Mental Health and Personal Development! aims to promote mental health, personal development, and the development of empathy. Since everyday behavior and especially the non-existent communication of people has a huge impact on mental health, this project aims to raise awareness about the problem and produce specific tools and methods, that could be easily adopted in everyday life so that each of us can contribute to solving global problems regarding mental health.
By implementing the project we expect to achieve a positive impact at various levels and sectors. Initially, the project aims to raise awareness in the local community and young people about the importance of mental health and communicating our needs. Understanding the issues and concepts around mental health and personal development will motivate the project’s target groups to adopt more self-sustainable behavior more easily.
The project was organized with a focus on different but easily noticeable mental health problems at the local community level. Because of this, members of the local community could relate to the problem more easily and understand the impact that their daily behavior has. The goal of each activity was to inform about the problem, explain the importance of solving it, and give specific tools/methods, or show alternatives to traditional behavior to solve the problem. The activities we had planned for this project motivated the participants and members of the local community to review their daily habits and adopt new sustainable behaviors. All actions that took place were in the form of non-formal learning.
