The absence of “simple” key competencies for lifelong learning and innovative and entrepreneurial thoughts and attitudes, based on a financial education oriented towards training and awareness, is the motto for the emergence and/or perpetuation of phenomena of social exclusion, social inequality, unemployment, etc.

Today, in a scenario of economic and social instability, intensified by COVID-19 and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the young generations – future adult generations – are facing increased difficulties in building their future, especially in the search for personal and financial independence. This shows the urgent need to continue investing in promoting financial resilience and empowering young people in the process of transition to independent living.

Thus, with this project, we want to facilitate the transition to independent living and provide young people with the necessary competencies to prevent and/or combat poverty and/or social exclusion phenomena, thus arises the motivation to implement this project, which will contribute in a broad way to this investment in young people.

The concrete objectives of the project are the following:

A) General

• – Combating the phenomena of social exclusion and/or poverty of young people, aggravated by the pandemic and periods of economic crisis and resulting from low economic and financial knowledge.

B) Specific

• – Testing, reviewing, and updating the intervention program built within the PRO(F)LITERACY Erasmus+ project, in light of the current challenges of young Europeans and in new social and geographical contexts.
• – Disseminating and exploiting the implementation of the PRO(F)LITERACY 2.0 program on a European scale, thus contributing to empowering youth workers in financial literacy work and increasing the literacy of young Europeans.
• – Creating sustainable international networks in the field of financial literacy.
