EKO is happy to announce that one more amazing training course has been completed successfully. The project “SEEDS 4 YOUTH ACTIVISM”  united 28 participants from Portugal, Italy, Croatia, Greece, Cyprus, Lithuania, Romania, Poland and Spain. It was organized by the Portuguese organization ASSOCIAÇÃO SEMENTES DE ESPERANÇA” and took place in Alqueva (Portel), Portugal from 24 to 29 October  2024. 

Aims & Objectives of the project 

The aim of the training course “Seeds 4 youth activism” was to contribute to social inclusion and social and democratic participation of young Europeans.

More specifically the objectives were:

– The need for professional development: the YW feel the need to strengthen their knowledge and practices, to innovate and to take a differentiating action that is highly adjusted to youth expectations;

– The need to strengthen knowledge in the youth sector and, in particular, on the subject of social and democratic participation;

– Need for recognition and expansion of network of partnerships.

Workshops & Activities of the project 

Through this project, participants had the opportunity to work with a non-formal methodology for preparation of Youth Workers for the conscious and critical use of virtual media and the use of an inclusive and tolerant language. Moreover, it was held Youth Work preparation for the use of English as the official language of the project and for intercultural interaction based on inclusion and diversity. Also, Youth Work  preparation for non-formal project methods and activities.
