Successful Implementation of the Go4Green Kick-off Meeting

The Kick-off Meeting for the Go4Green project (Sports and nature-based activities to promote youth participation in fighting climate change) took place on June 18 – 21,2024 and was hosted by EKO in  Athens, Greece. This meeting officially launched the project and was an opportunity for partners to align on objectives, responsibilities, and initial actions.

During the meeting, partners reviewed the project’s goals, timeline, and work packages (WPs). Key topics included project guidelines, dissemination strategies, and risk assessments. The discussion highlighted the importance of collaboration, clear communication, and adherence to the grant agreement. Guidelines for deliverables were also established to ensure alignment with project objectives.

This meeting marked the official start of the Go4Green initiative, which aims to promote and strengthen the role of youth in the fight against climate change. Running for 16 months, from February 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025, the project involves three organizations from three European countries: the coordinator, Padre José Augusto da Fonseca School Group (Portugal), Entrepreneurship and Social Economy Group (Greece), and EUROSUD (Italy).

The meeting focused on planning the upcoming activities, one training course and one youth exchange, organising local workshops, and organizing the initial dissemination campaign. It established a strong foundation for collaboration and a shared commitment to empowering youth for climate action across Europe.
