EKO is happy to announce that the first mobility of our bilateral youth exchange has been completed successfully. The project “Summer Exchange”  united 28 young people from Spain and Greece. It was organized by the Spanish organization “Talka Youth Center” and took place in Etxebarri (Spain) from 01 to 06 July 2024.

Aims & Objectives of the project

The Summer exchange aimed to develop leadership skills and to empower young people to become proactive community leaders. The main objective also was to bring the participants closer to nature and help them feel a sense of responsibility for their surroundings.

More specifically the objectives were:

  • Sustainability and climate change;
  • Development of key capabilities;
  • Elimination of the intercultural, intergenerational, and social gap.

Workshops & Activities of the project

Through the six-day exchange, participants had the opportunity to work with a non-formal methodology on topics like sustainability, leadership, and cultural differences. Through different activities like workshops, role-plays, and indoor and outdoor games, the participants were encouraged to share their experiences and opinions. Moreover, these activities aimed to foster their confidence, critical thinking, and collaborative abilities, enabling youth to drive positive change and contribute to their communities effectively.

It is an amazing opportunity and a great experience for EKO’s team
