Youth Charging the World
Youth Exchange 13/11/2023 – 20/11/2023 in Lamego, Portugal
EKO is happy to announce that one more amazing youth exchange has been successfully completed. The project “Youth Changing the World”, united 42 young participants from Portugal, Greece, Italy, Spain, Romania and Slovenia. It was organized by the Portuguese organization ORDINCEA, and took place in Lamego( Portugal) from 13 to 20 of November 2023.
Aims & Objectives of the project
The project aimed to promote social inclusion and active participation of young people, through an intercultural project that addresses the theme of climate change focused on renewable energies. They acquired knowledge in the climate change field and they went further and deeper into social inclusion. Knowledge, resources and opportunities about Erasmus+ were learnt by participants as well.
More specifically the objectives were:
Workshops & Activities of the project
Through this project, participants had the opportunity to get better in some key competencies such as multilingual competence, personal, social and learning to learn competence. During the week, they worked with a non-formal methodology, they worked in small groups, had creative workshops, presentations and brainstorming with the others. They created sustainable cities with collage, they had cinema sessions, they visited the city of Porto and exchanged ideas on energy efficiency, carbonic footprint, water energy and many more environmental topics. In summary, all team members developed different skills and competencies while acquiring new knowledge. They were able to develop skills such as a sense of initiative, creativity, teamwork, the ability to energize, practice languages, reflection and critical thinking… and definitely lots of certain skills.

Nefeli, Syrmo, Petros, Dimitrios, Stavros, Petros, Ioannis and Maritina were the members of this amazing Greek team whom we really wanna thank for all their contribution and collaboration throughout the project!
