The “YOUng Changemakers for Circular Local Economy” project, with the acronym YOU-CYCLE, is a 30-month initiative funded under Erasmus+ KA220-YOU, focusing on cooperation partnerships in youth. Led by Asociación Espacio Geranios para el Emprendimiento Social in Spain, the project aims to explore and implement social entrepreneurship as a tool for the green transition among disadvantaged young people. The key objectives include learning and disseminating best practices in using social entrepreneurship for the green transition, creating an international community to support a circular economy, and developing an online platform.

The project targets two youth groups—those from marginalized communities and NEET youth—and aims to train youth workers and empower local change-makers, green and social business owners, political makers, and local communities. The intellectual output involves co-creating a practical guide for youth workers on social impact through circular economy practices. The ongoing project is currently in the process of financial installments and is expected to continue until March 2026.
